mkup real complexion cream 2

I’ve been seeing MKUP’s video all over FB for awhile. And, finally I got really tempted and bought their Real Complexion Cream + Deep Pore Cleansing Mousse (ᗒᗨᗕ) The effects of their products look really impressive from their videos. I shall review the MKUP Real Complexion Cream first~~

Brand: MKUP
Product: Real Complexion Cream
Packaging: ★★★★★
Effectiveness: ★★★☆☆
Long-lastingness: ★★★★☆
Overall Rating: 4/5

Packaging

I like the packaging of the MKUP Real Complexion Cream. The product is only dispensed when you push the pump down. This means that the product will be more protected and can stay fresh for a longer time. (b^_^)b

Effectiveness

The cream is in a pretty light pink shade (●♡∀♡)

1 pump is roughly enough for the whole face~

Gently spread and pat product onto skin.

Here’s a comparison between the skin tone before and after applying (forehead and left half applied ^notice eye area)

It brightens the skin and makes it look fairer. However, there is no coverage as this is a skin care product. Only darker areas of the skin will appear lighter. Spots/redness still have to be covered by concealer or foundation. This is good as a general makeup base for brighter-looking skin. For people with good skin, I think just this alone is enough as a base.

Unless I am going to attend a special event, I usually put on a very light and natural makeup. So, I think this is perfect as a base for me! I only need to add on a bit of concealer. It replaces my use of cushion as base. And, since is a skin care and not makeup, it’s better for my skin too!

A quick summary:

  1. Bare Face
  2. + Real Complexion Cream
  3. + Concealer (under eye & pimples)
  4. + Brow & Tinted Lip Balm

Overall, it does brighten skin as claimed. And, I love the fact that there is no colourant, alcohol and paraben in the product. Great for people with sensitive skin. However, the hydration and dewy effect, which are also part of their claim, are not obvious upon application. It would be great if it could really make my skin look more dewy and moisturised. (´д`)

Long-Lastingness

Here’s how it looks after 8hrs out…

Skin still looks pretty bright~

Concealer faded slightly ):

Did a test by wiping it off with my Bioderma Micellar Water (cheek area where there is no concealer)….

Found that there are no pigments indeed!

Any discomfort or allergies while using? I saw another review saying that it clogs pores. :/ I have sensitive skin too

I feel like it does! I used it and seem to have a breakout after /:

For me, I didn’t experience any break out or feel any discomfort while using. But, my skin is not that sensitive. If you know what kind of ingredient you are sensitive to, maybe check out their ingredient list first? Or try it out on your jawline/neck area before you start using it.

I personally have to clean off the cream after a
Whole day. Although it claims to be a skin care product, I think it’s still a cosmetic product that has extremely micro-sized powder that if not washed off properly, will cause clogging and eventually pimples.

It happened to me the first 2 times and after I started washing it off, the breaking out stopped.

Oh I see. I always clean my skin with micellar water before I wash up after a day out. Maybe that’s why I didn’t experience any break out.
