PRE-WEDDING SKINCARE BEAUTY GUIDE

I’ll like to share some beauty tips for brides-to-be to take note of before your big day arrives.

Basic Skin Care Routine

  • Remove makeup with makeup remover

  • Wash face with facial cleanser

  • Exfoliate once a week

  • Apply Toner to double cleanse and prepare skin for skin care products

  • Apply eye cream and gently massage the eye area

  • Apply face serum

  • Apply face moisturizer

  • Apply facial mask once a week

One month before:

  • Apply facial mask twice a week

  • Remind your facial specialist not to squeeze any zits as they may not heal in time

  • Increase intake of vitamin-rich food

  • Get your hair trimmed/dyed by a hairstylist that you trust around 1-2 weeks before the wedding

1 Week before

  • Reduce intake of carbohydrates and salt to prevent water retention

  • Drink more water to detox

  • Intense hydration of skin with good quality mask/ampoules for that glowing skin

  • Get your eyebrows trimmed a few days before

  • Get your manicure done two days before the actual day

  • Get sufficient sleep

The Day before

  • Shampoo your hair well before bed, avoid hair mask/conditioner or only condition only the ends, dry hair thoroughly before sleeping)

  • Pack your touch-up items to bring along for the actual day (e.g. powder, lipstick/gloss, cotton buds, makeup remover [if staying in hotel])

  • Eat a healthy meal

  • Set your alarm, relax and have a good night’s sleep

On the Big Day

  • Wash up. You do not have to wash hair again (if you really want to wash your hair, do not use conditioner, or just apply at the ends, and dry your hair thoroughly before makeup artist arrives)

  • Cleanse face

  • Wear something easy to change out of (eg. robe, button shirt), so that it will not mess up the makeup or hair when you are changing into your wedding gown

Last but not least, put on your wedding gown and wear your best smile!
